High Efficiency Boilers

What is it?

High Efficiency Boilers work on a lower than normal energy consumption by taking advantage of condensing, rather than waste through flues on non-condensing boilers.

How it works?

Traditional boilers were non-condensing, which meant that a lot of heat was lost through the flue along with the waste gases.

High Efficiency Boilers have a larger heat exchanger; so can recover more heat and then send the cooler gases out the flue.

Current legislation says that High Efficiency Boilers must run at at least 90% efficiency.

What are the benefits?

  • A lot more energy efficient than non-condensing boilers
  • Can reduce your energy bills by up to 30%

How much does it cost?

The type of boiler you need will depend on a number of factors, such as the size of your building and your hot water requirements.
